This Is What Samsung Says About Telkomsel 5G Support On Its Cellphone | Marhan.net - Most smartphone vendors in Indonesia have launched devices with 5G capabilities in Indonesia, including Samsung with its Galaxy S21 lineup and the latest Galaxy A32 5G.
However, not everyone was able to connect to Indonesia's first 5G network, which Telkomsel held on Thursday (5/27/2021) using NSA 5G technology (not standalone) on the 2300MHz frequency (n40 band).
What about Samsung devices? The South Korean manufacturer has not confirmed whether the device can use Telkomsel 5G service or not.
Silvia Govar, Head of Product Marketing, IT and Mobile Devices at Samsung Electronics Indonesia, said her team is working with carriers to update their mobile phones with the 5G spectrum in use.
“For consumers who need more information, they can contact the Samsung call center at 0800-1128888 or via the Get Help feature in the Samsung Member app,” Silvia said on Friday (28/05/2021).
According to Samsung Indonesia's Marhan.net monitoring, there are at least four Samsung smartphones that support 5G networks in the n40 band, namely Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy A32 5G.
Many other manufacturers, such as Xiaomi and Realme, do not currently have devices that support Telkomsel 5G.
